There is very little shop on the main road in Archiestown. Look out for the sign on the main road driving through on the B9102. MAP
Everyday groceries and needs
The main town closest to Glenarder with the most facilities is Aberlour and Rothes.
ABERLOUR. MAP
You will find a supermarket, specialty store, butcher, baker, pharmacy, post office, Newspaper shop, hardware store, art shop and several gift shops etc. All the shops are on the Main Street running through Aberlour on the A95.
The local supermarket is the Co-op. Chain grocery store. Our go to local grocery store. Not large but has sufficient for most of your needs. You can also find a local Co op supermarket in Dufftown and Rothes (see below info on Rothes), all on the main high streets. Map
Speyside Larder. Lovely specialty store with original fittings. Our favourite and highly recommended. They play Scottish music, have a great supply of local and specialty proud such as cheeses, meats, ice cream, condiments, whisky and gifts. The Speyside Larder.
S.A Mackie Butchers. 77 High Street. Aberlour. A top quality butcher providing high quality produce in a shop environment and also to local catering establishments. Excellent steak, pies sausages etc . Will cater to your selection and need.
C.A Gammock. Saddlery and hardware shop. Supplies anything you might need along the hardware lines as well as hand-made leather works. Website.
Rothes. MAP Rothes is a little smaller than Aberlour but still has most of the same facilities. You will find local Co-op grocery store, a butcher, a Chinese Take-away, a baker and newspaper shop. MAP
Large Chain Supermarkets.
There are several large chain supermarkets that can be accessed depending on the route you are driving. All are about 30-45 minutes drive so fine for doing a grocery shop on route. For grocery deliveries to Glenarder see below.
Shopping on route. We highly recommend stopping at one of the larger chain stores on the way in if you want to significantly stock up on supplies. Otherwise there are plenty of smaller local shops.
Superstores between Aberdeen Airport and Glenarder: There are three good superstores directly on your route, one is located in Dyce. 5 minutes from Dyce Airport. Easily the largest in the area. It is a good idea to stop here to do grocery shopping if you need it. See links below for Google Maps Directions:

Deliveries to Glenarder. You can very easily arrange for Tesco and Asda to do a grocery delivery to Glenarder. They are very realiable and stick closely to their delivery schedule. Note you must be at the cottage to accept the delivery. See links below and follow instructions for delivery. Please note they will allow you to select a time slot for delivery, however you must be at the cottage to accept the groceries. Groceries cannot be delivered outwith your stay.

Between Inverness and Glenarder. You will pass directly through a small town called Nairn, directly on the road there is a large Sainsbury’s superstore:

Grocery and supplying shopping between Glasgow or Edinburgh and Glenarder. Early in your journey you will pass through a large town called Perth. This is the best place to do a good shop as it has a Tesco Superstore. It is located just off the the M90/A9 which is the main road you will be travelling on. I am sure you will see signs for it however here is the link to its exact location.

Tesco Avimore. About 40 minutes before you arrive at Glenarder. There is a Tesco Metromarket it is smaller but efficient Tesco. It is on the high street as you pass. Avimore Tesco
